David Lees Motor Engineers is your independent automotive specialist in the service, repair, MOT and maintenance of all VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Bentley models.
Our fully-trained technicians use the latest in diagnostic technology and equipment to deliver the quality of work you would expect from a main dealer but at a fraction of the cost. Although we are VAG group specialists we do service all makes and models.
Our Aim
David Lees Motor Engineers was established in 1992 to provide a genuine substitute to the VAG group main dealers and we offer a friendly, professional, no-frills service without cutting on quality. You get value for money because you only pay for things you need at a fraction of the cost of main dealerships.
We pride ourselves on being able to undertake all the repairs and servicing activities that you would expect from a main dealer. The difference is that when you come to David Lees Motor Engineers, you will save up to fifty per cent of the labour costs.
Our philosophy is to see that VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Bentley vehicles remain as faithful to their original running condition as possible and we strive to do this with precision, honesty and enthusiasm.
Not only do we have highly skilled technicians in the workshop, we also have all the latest servicing and diagnostic equipment for the VAG group cars. We like you to see what we do and explain what has been done in terms you can understand. We want you to trust us!
Our People
At David Lees Motor Engineers there is a team of IMI-qualified and experienced people ready to help get your car back on the road after its repair or service as quickly as possible. It is a family-run business of VAG group enthusiasts headed by VAG-trained automotive engineer David Lees.
Other key members of the team are Service Manager Tim Woodhall, who oversees the day to day operations of the workshop. His team includes Martin Pratchett, who has worked with David for over 25 years and tends to specialise in electrical/electronic issues, Mark Dugmore, who has over thirty years in the automotive industry and a wealth of experience in diagnostics, and Robert Hancox, who after completing his apprenticeship with David, left for a few years to broaden his experience (to see if the grass was any greener) and then returned to the fold.
You will find Dawn Field busy in reception answering the phone, booking customers’ cars in, ordering parts etc and generally keeping everyone on their toes.

Effective car maintenance and car repairs require the right equipment. David Lees Motor Engineers carries the same specialist equipment as Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda and Bentley main dealers, ensuring we can get to the root of your car’s problem quickly, efficiently and correctly each time.
We have invested heavily in the equipment we need to do a good job for you. That means we can undertake all the work your car requires right here at our premises in Alcester, including the latest state-of-the-art 3D technology for four-wheel alignment diagnostics.
You want to prolong the life of your car and be confident that the parts used in a service or repair will help to keep your vehicle roadworthy. That’s what we want for your vehicle too. When you bring your vehicle to us you can be confident that we will use the right parts, specified by the manufacturer and which come with a 12 month warranty.

At David Lees Motor Engineers we offer a variety of convenient options to make life a little easier. Services include the use of a courtesy car (for a charge of £10) and free pickup and delivery within a 10 mile radius of Alcester. We operate an out-of-hours key drop and have a comfortable reception area equipped with TV, free wi-fi, hot drinks and a range of reading materials should you choose to wait.
